Could not find the file Flash.ocx - Simple solution

Have you received this message, “Could not find the file flash.ocx” recently?

Fixing this rather irritating issue is actually very simple. Follow the three steps listed below and you’re done!

  1. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
  2. You’ll find a named ‘flash9.ocx’ file over there.
  3. Copy and paste this file into the same folder you are in. You’ll now have two files in this folder- ‘flash9.ocx’ and ‘flash.ocx’

That’s it. You’re done. The problem should be gone now. In case you’re still facing issues or didn’t understand the instructions given above, let me know. Drop a comment and I’ll help you out.

Yes Michael. Make sure you leave the old file there. Don’t delete it.
