Have you received this message, “Could not find the file flash.ocx” recently?
Fixing this rather irritating issue is actually very simple. Follow the three steps listed below and you’re done!
- Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
- You’ll find a named ‘flash9.ocx’ file over there.
- Copy and paste this file into the same folder you are in. You’ll now have two files in this folder- ‘flash9.ocx’ and ‘flash.ocx’

Have tried what you said but 30 minutes after I switched on got ‘could not find file flash.ocx’I followed your instructions but I am a bit of a novice on these pc’s, altho I spent 30 years in IBM mainframes.Bring back the 360/370’s for me and IBM jcl.
What happens to the old file?do I just leave it there?
